The Shops at Farmington Valley is an open-air destination with more than 45 major retailers, specialty stores and unique eateries in the heart of bucolic and bustling Canton, CT. From forested neighborhoods to rolling farmlands, our property is surrounded by many of the features that make the Farmington Valley so special. Not a mall.

With convenient storefront parking and beautiful, strollable sidewalks, you can take in scenic mountain views while you shop, explore and spend the day. The Shops also offers year-round programming and special events, including holiday celebrations and family activities designed to connect with our neighbors and build community.

The Barn

This symbol of Canton’s agricultural history is a monument to generations of Farmington Valley residents. Today, this iconic feature on our property is quickly becoming a favorite spot to gather and have a good time.

Walter’s Boundless Playground is a fun and inclusive space for children of all ages and abilities, and the first of its kind in the United States. Inspired by Walter Lowell’s commitment to helping kids, the innovative space is a favorite stop for families visiting The Shops.

Little Free Library

We celebrate reading today and every day with our Little Free Library. This is a popular spot in our community and often overflowing with books. We encourage you to swing and recycle a book by adding to the library or grab a new read.

The Little Free Libary is located behind White House Black Market in the courtyard by BodyFit Physical Therapy.

We believe in inclusivity and creating spaces where all are welcome, we often restock the library with books that celebrate diversity, and inclusion and are written by minority authors.
