Sweetgreen is a culinary lifestyle brand dedicated to smartly sourced, seasonal food and the balance between work, life, food, and community. Founded in 2007 by Nicolas Jammet, Jonathan Neman, and Nathaniel Ru, the brand is committed to delicious, healthy, and smartly sourced food, working with like-minded farmers and growers who value sustainability and thoughtful practices. The first restaurant, a 560-square-foot space in Georgetown, opened in August 2007. Since then, Sweetgreen has grown to 227 restaurants throughout Washington, D.C., Virginia, Maryland, Philadelphia, Boston, Connecticut, Florida and New York City. In addition to a core selection of seasonal salads, Sweetgreen’s menu includes grain bowls, soups, and house-made beverages.
