CELEBRATE FAMILY

“Celebrate Family” is an art project that invites people to reflect on what family means to them.

In October, we are celebrating the soon-to-be arrival of John Guthrie’s new work, a sculpture titled “Family” with an interactive art experience.

“What does family mean to you?” –  We all come from diverse backgrounds, with different experiences and “family” situations in our lives. Each one of us can tell a different story about what means to us. Share a few words about what it means to you, or draw a picture on a colorful post-it note, and add it to the window gallery at Kindred and Crew, a locally owned family matching boutique located next to CycleBar. All month long the post-its will be on display in the window for people to view.

The post – it’s will be saved to use in a larger art piece to be designed by a local Canton artist.

How to participate:

Stop by Kindred and Crew, grab a colorful post-it, add a few words, or draw pictures about what family means to you. Then you can “post – it” in the window

Our hope is that in a few weeks we will have created a collage of short notes for our center guests to stop by and read as they stroll on our sidewalks.
